The Lamb of Mount Zion

144,000

And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having their Father’s name written in their foreheads.

This Lamb is a symbolic description of our Sacrificial Lamb, Jesus Christ.  Here we see him standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who followed him, and had their father’s name written in their foreheads.  This tells us that not only was The Beast from the earth marking his subjects, but that those who followed the Lamb, had the mark of their Father’s name written in their foreheads.

The voice from heave is the witness of confirmation from God, that this is the true Lamb of God.  John 1:29, 12:27-33.  This Lamb cause the followers to break out in a song of redemption. Re. 14: 2,3.

In their mouths were found no guile (deceit), 1 pet. 2:21-25.  All these characteristics tells us that this is the true Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.

The Beast before the Lamb, cause people to have marks in their hands and in their foreheads,  these were denominational marks, that kept them from the fellowship and light of God’s word.  Now we know from the description of the followers of the Lamb, their mark was a good mark, and refers to their revelation of truth.  Rev. 7:1-3.

What were they sealed with? The Father’s Name.  John 17:9-12.

The 144,000 (12,000 from each tribe) is a symbolic description of a larger number of people,  this is not to be literally taken, like the cult the Jehovah’s Witnesses has done.  The 144,000 are a symbol of a body of believers, which represent God’s people.  This was not a few disgruntle groups, which came out of Babylon, but a whole body of believers, a assembly, a gathering,  a great move of God. This represented the Evening Light Church of the New Testament.  This body of believers was different from any other group of people.

This body of believers was in various fellowships, and Jesus spoke to them.  Jesus also spoke to the various ministers in these different fellowships individually.  They realize the confusion that they were in wasn’t right and began to come out, and cross one paths, compare notes and realize that what God was saying to one, He was saying to the other.

Some was unusually gifted men, and some had great insight into the revelation, and God began to whow them Babylon in a great way. They began to realize that this was a mighty move of God, a “Reformation” set in motion by God himself according to bible prophecy, Zech. 14:7.  God was calling his people out of Babylon into the Evening Light.

Just like in the beginning of the Church age, this was a chosen body of men who saw the resurrected body of Jesus, and went out preaching a fact.  So was it in the evening time, God gave them a revelation of the Lamb, that was slain, and now standing on Mount Zion.  They went preaching this revelation everywhere, This was a ministry and message with wings, the very wings of God.  They were God vehicles to preach the everlasting Gospel to every creature. The results were so great that we see a mass of people following the lamb whithersoever he went.

This evening light reform was a definite move of God, not something they were trying to start on their own because of their dissatisfaction with Sectism.  This was not someone’s wild ideal.  God through the word and spirit revealed truth to these people who didn’t even know one another in most cases.  Some lived in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana, who had no contact with one another.  Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit came to these people and revealed to them the full gospel truth in the Evening Light.
