The Binding and Loosing of the Dragon Series

 

Revelation 20:1-15

 

 1And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

   
   2And he laid hold on the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.

   
   3And he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years should be fulfilled; and after that he must be loosed a little season.

   
   4And I saw thrones and they that sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them. And I saw the souls of them that had been beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast, nor his image, nor had received his mark upon their foreheads or on their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

   
   5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

   
   6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

   
   7And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

The Angel with the key and great chain in his hand is none other than the ministry of Christ preaching the gospel in the early morning time of the church.  The Key is the knowledge of the Word and The Chain is the binding and loosing power of the Spirit.

 

The Bible gives us the key (knowledge) to this symbol.

 

18And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

   
   19And I will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven, and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven."

 

 

  

The anointed preaching of the gospel bound the Dragon (Pagan Rome),  and through the gospel of Christ, they showed the believers of the early morning church that the Dragon, (Pagan Rome), was none other than a idolatrous religious system called the devil, that old serpent, (that is just what a dragon is, a big serpent), and that the religious system was none other than an tool of Satan out to destroy the Church of God.

 

The fact that the Dragon was bound a thousand years shows us the his power and influence in the world of the morning time church has eroded.  This angel  cast the dragon into a bottomless pit, that is, the church of God ministry showed us the Paganism is a religious system with no biblical foundation, We know that Christ is the foundation of his church, The bible says in 1 Corinthians 3:9 – 12;

 

For we are laborers together with God; ye are God's husbandry; ye are God's building.

   
   10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

   
   11For no man can lay another foundation than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Now when the devil (Paganism) saw that it was defeated, the old adage kicked into place, “If you can’t be them, join them”.  The Dragon system embraced chrisitianity, and went to church, but let me keep my old lies and idols, (When Constantine the Pagan Roman Emperor) became a Christian the persecution stopped. The lies and false doctrines began to plague the Christian church.  Which brings us down to this day.

 

The devil is doing a great work among the religious professors of our day.  Seeing that he has a short time, and that the masses of the people have not accepted the plain teaching of the bible, He has devise, a futurist theory to offset millions into believing that there would be a time when men would experience a future full of hope and expectations full of carnal delights; and this plan is highly promoted in three doctrinal phases, namely

  1. Reincarnation, the doctrine of Paganism; (Heb 927)
  2. Purgatory, which is a doctrine of Catholicism (Lu. 16:19-31)
  3. The Millennium Reign, the doctrine of Protestantism (2 Cor 6:1,2)

 

In order that you understand the steps of this futuristic theory, we decided to point out the error of one of the most propagated doctrine of our time that you may know the real truth instead, and that doctrine is the millennium reign doctrine.

 

Before I can show you the true interpretation of Revelation 20th chapter, the refuge of lives must be swept away.

What does the Millennium Reign Doctrine teach?

 

  1. The Rapture of the Church; that is the stealing away of the church unnoticed, and this could occur any moment.

 

First of all there is no stealing away of the church unnoticed, the fact that He is coming as a thief, is simply showing us the suddenness of His appearance.

 

Also to prove he isn’t stealing away anyone I shown in Acts 1:9-11;  Rev 1:7

( every eye shall see him)

 

  1. The First and Second Resurrection; is when the dead in Christ is caught up with the living in Christ during the rapture, right before the tribulation period, and the second resurrection will take place after the 1000 year reign.

 

First, of all the first resurrection theory, based on the scripture from Revelation 20:6 is not rightly divided by those who propagate this doctrine.

 

The First Resurrection is the deliverance from a dead state of sin. John 5:24-29, 1 Timothy 5:6, Eph. 2:1; rom6:4,5; Col3:1.

 

The Second resurrection is the bodily resurrection from the grave, Note: the first John 5:24-27; and now the second; John 5:28,29.

 

When we are saved from, sin, the second death have no power over us.  Rev. 20:14, 15. (Which is the lake of fire)?

 

 

 

 

  1. The Great Tribulation; is a time after the rapture, in which the gospel will be preached again for seven (7) years, (The Seven years of Great Tribulation) During this time there will seven years of distress and world sorrow, during which time the Anti-Christ will rise to power as a world dictator, and the first 3 ½ years could be a time of peace and second 3 ½ years, a time of great sorrow upon earth during which tie God will judge the nations and bring Israel back or restore the Jews to their own land of promise by persecution, but they will be saved in the end.

 

First, the land of Israel was restored back to the Jews in the year 1967.

 

Second, this great tribulation, which is also at the center of their false teaching, has already past.   In A.D. 70 Titus, The Roman Emperor and his army marched on Jerusalem and destroyed the city and the temple (See. Matthew 24:1– 4). “The Abomination of Desolation”.

 

Third, there will never be a future tribulation period after Christ’s coming, so the gospel can be preached to the Jews.  2 Corinthian 6:1,2; Romans 9:1-8; 11:1-7,25 -27.

 

Fourth, there is no biblical foundation for this seven (7) year tribulation theory.

 

Fifth, there is no bible foundation for this Anti-Christ or World Dictator. 1 John 2:18-26; 1 John 4:1-6; 2 John 7-11.

 

 

Where did the Millennial Theory come from?

 

This theory was first introduced under Christianity by Cerinthus, who was the worst heretic of the first century.  The church historian Eusebius has preserved a fragment of writing from Caius, who lived in the second century, and who thus describes the doctrine of Cerinthus:  “But Cerinthus too, through revelations written, as he would have us believe, by a great apostle, brings before us marvelous things, which he pretends were shown him by angels; alleging that after the resurrection the kingdom of Christ is to be on earth, and that the flesh dwelling in Jerusalem is again to be subject to desires and pleasures.  And being an enemy to the Scriptures of God, wishing to deceive men, he says that there is to be a apace of a thousand years for marriage-festivities.”  “One of the doctrines that he taught was, that Christ would have an earthly kingdom.”  Caius evidently believed the Scriptural doctrine that the kingdom of God was set up at Christ’s first coming; there he brands Cerinthus as an “enemy of the Scriptures, wishing to deceive men.” 

 

Now, Cerinthus lived in the days of the apostle John.  Irenaeus, who was born A.D. 120, states that while a boy he often sat at the feet of the venerable Polycarp, Bishop of Smyrna (who was a disciple of the Apostle John), and listened while that aged disciple related incidents which took place in the earlier days of the apostles

(Eusebius:  Ecclesiastical history, V:24).  Among the things  thus handed down, Irenaeus states that once while John was at Ephesus he entered a public bath to wash, and finding that Cerinthus was within, he rushed out of the building, exhorting the others to do the same, saying, “ Let us flee, lest the bath fall in, as long as Cerinthus that enemy of truth, is within.”—Eusebius Eccl. Hist., III: 28.  Millennialist, like Cerinthus, claim that their doctrine is founded in the Apocalypse of Jesus, but that apostle rejected him as an “enemy of the truth”.

 

Millions of people have thus grasped the delusive idea that there will be after this dispensation another age of blessedness in which salvation-work will be effected.  Such is a rank deception of the devil.  “Now is the accepted time: behold NOW is the day of salvation.”

 

 

 

  1. The Battle of Armageddon is when Christ and his army of heaven shall come and fight against the devil and the Anti-Christ and their powers.

 

The battle of Armageddon is not a literal battle as some suppose (the term Armageddon means “a place of slaughter”, spiritually speaking, this a type of when Israel fought her greatest victories, that of Barak over the Midianites (Judges 7th chapter); Here also Deborah sang her was song (Judges 5th chapter); Here also a great slaughter took place of Josiah the King (2 Kings 23:29).  In the New Testament, this is a spiritual battle of truth against error.  This battle is not fought with lead and steel as some suppose or Jesus charging on a literal white stallion with a real two edge sword killing people. 

 

  1. Satan bound a 1000 years, after the so-called battle of Armageddon, Satan is supposed to be bound a 1000 years.

 

First of all Satan cannot be bound with a literal chain as some may suppose, for he is a spirit.  Luke 24:39; Rev. 16:13, 14; Rev. 20:1-3; Matt. 16:18,19 and Rev.12:1-17.

 

  1. The 1000 year Reign:  It is said after the battle of Armageddon and the binding of Satan, that the Kingdom of God will be established over there in Israel, where Christ will reign in Jerusalem for 1000 years.

 

First of all the Kingdom of God is already established in the hearts of men.  Matt 4:17; Mark 1:14,15; Luke 17:20,21; Matt. 11:11,12; Rev. 1:9.

 

Second, this kingdom is not a literal one filled with carnal delights.  Rom. 14: 17 Acts 1:1-8;

 

Third, The Kingdom is not where a literal lamb and lion shall lay down together.  Isa. 11:1-16, but this is spiritually speaking to us where once we had animal like natures, shall be changed to be partakers of his divine nature, through holiness and shall dwell so that we can all dwell together.

 

Fourth The Kingdom was prophesied by Daniel in Dan. Chapter 2, and was established A.D. 33. This Kingdom started at the preaching of John the Baptist.  Lu. 16:16, Mark 1:15.  Note:  There is no transitional period, and the believers received the spirit life before the day of Pentecost. (John 3:3)

 

Fifth, there will never be a kingdom on earth, from the fact that at his second coming, there will be no earth to stand on, for the earth and all of the works therein shall be burned up, that is destroyed at his coming.  (2 Pet. 3:7-13)

 

  1. Satan will be loosed after the 1000 year reign:  They teach that after 1000 years, Satan will be loosed for a season.

 

Since Satan cannot be bound with literal chains, there is no need for him to be loosed, literally.  As we see these lies go on and on, and on.  Where will they stop.  If you noticed he was bound 1000 years after the Apostolic ministry bound him with the gospel. (The Key and Chain)  Satan was not to deceived the nations “no more” until the 1000 years were finished.  Noticed it said no more, till the 1000 years were fulfilled, that is completed.  You see he had already deceived the world when he was first introduce, fighting the Woman clothed with the Sun, but the early morning ministry stopped the Dragon in its tracks.  Now Rev. 20:3 says that  after the 1000 years, he shall be loosed for a little season.

 

First of all 1000 years, is not literally a 1000 years, but a number denoting a long period of time, just like the 144000  on Mount Zion is not a literal number, for John said “He saw a number no man could number”.  Rev. 14th chapter.   The bible says.

 

8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing: that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

 

In Revelation 20:4 please notice two things here.  During the 1000 years reign you can see the church here on earth and the martyrs of Jesus in Paradise, the church was seen as those sitting on thrones and judgment was given unto them.  The fact that they were sitting on throne tell me that they were reigning, that is God had a people who were yet standing despite the Abomination of Desolation.  Judgment was given unto them.  They yet had God’s word and precepts.  Also during this long period of time, we also see the martyrs of Jesus, reigning, They are described as the “souls” that were beheaded (put to death) for the witness of  Jesus, and the word of God, and which not worshipped the beast (Roman Catholicism), His Image (Protestantism), nor received the mark of the best in their forehead, that is the False teaching of Roman Catholicism.  It was very costly to be a Christian at this time.    It is said by the inquisition that Roman Catholicism has killed 40 – 50 millions saints, for standing for truth. The others during this period time called the “Dark Ages” hide in the mountain and caves of the earth and was not allowed to worship God openly and freely unless it was done the Papal way.

 

In Revelation 20:5, the bible says that the rest of the dead lived not again until the 1000 years were finished.  One may say what does this mean?  The rest of the dead were those un-regenerated souls that needed the bible, God’s word to give them life.  But Rome took the bible from the people.  The unadulterated gospel could not be preached openly until the thousand years, or this long period of time of dark papal night was finished, the interpretation is right before our eyes.  I t says “This is the first resurrection.”   When Salvation is not preached man cannot experience the first resurrection, that is the deliverance from the power of sin and spiritual death, for the wages of sin is death.  John 5:24-29, explains the different between the first and second resurrection. 

 

I must note that the gospel was not preached until after the 1000 years of dark Papal night, when a young monk by the name of Marin Luther began to preach the first resurrection message to save men from their sins; this message was “The Just shall live by Faith”

 

In Revelation 20:6, there is a promise given to the saint during this dark time for the people of God.

 

6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

 

If you would notice please, the dragon is bound; his pagan influence that he has exercised during his reign in Pagan Rome is not address here.  It is the Beast; the one that followed the Dragon, This Beast was Papal Rome, who persecuted the saints unto death, and shortly thereafter, Martin Luther  took his stand against Rome, his followers caused 100,000 souls to be put to death, If they did not accept there way, if was not under the direction of Martin Luther, but none the less about 100,000 souls died in the revolt of the Peasants. These radicals instantly made an Image to the Beast, they were no better than the thing they were fleeing from.  If you did not fellowship or agree with them they put you to death.  Even though there was Dragon influence in the Apostate Church (Roman Catholicism),  In reality the Dragon was limited compared to that Leopard like Papal Beast, for under the Pagan Religion System, The Dragon allowed many ways of worship, but under the Papal Beast System, there was only one way of worship, that is, “Be a Catholic or die”.

 

Now back to the Dragon, in Rev. 20:7, the bible says when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison.

 

 

What was Satan (The Dragon), that Pagan religious system was Satan, the devil, the Serpent, prison?  His prison was the bottomless pit religion of Roman Catholicism, the Apostate Church with no bible foundation.  Now with the rise of Protestantism, many Images (Sects) were made in the process.  So now the Dragon really has something to work with.  Papal Rome was only one system of Religion, but now the devil has many systems of religion to work with.  So we see again the Dragon at work, in verse 8, it is said that he went out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth. 

 

There has been a move for about 500 years, ever since the first image to the beast was made to bring all religions together.  Only the influence of the dragon could do this.  In revelation, it is said that the dragon went to make war with the remnant of the Woman (The Church of God) seed.  There has been a great ecumenical drive to unite all religions in some way in one body.  This new power isn’t really new, it’s the same old Dragon, and He is the same old scarlet colored beast, except he has someone riding him today.  See Revelation the 17th chapter.  His rider is Mystery Babylon, the Great Whore.  He is the eight Beast that is now coming against the Church of God.  In many countries today, the Eight Beast is persecuting the Church of God. 

 

In many countries today around the world, God people are being persecuted by the dragon.  I will name some of the countries,  Afghanistan, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bhutan, Brunei, China, Comoros, Cuba, Egypt, Eritrea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Laos, Libya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritania, Morocco, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman’s, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria’s, Tajikistan, Tibet’s, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab emirate (U.A.E.), Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen.  The blood of the Martyrs is yet the see of the Church.

 

These nations are symbolically style as Gog and Magog, These nations are gathered together against the Camp of the Saints, God’s People.  These nations have compassed the Camp of the saints already, but the fire of God’s word is falling from Heaven and devouring these persecuting systems.  These nations which are run by their Pagan Religious systems are being judged by him who sets on the Throne. 

 

Revelation the 20th chapter, verses 10 through 15, shows us this preliminary judgment scene.

 

 

10And the devil (The Dragon/Pagan System) who had deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone,

 

where the beast (Papal) and the false prophet (Protestantism) are; and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

 

 

   
   11And I saw a great white throne and Him (Jesus Christ) that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven (The old system of protestant sects) fled away, and there was found no place for them. (The Preliminary Judgment Scene)

 

 

   
   12And I saw the dead, (those who are dead in sin) small and great, standing before God, and the books (the record of their life were made visible) and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. (God’s Word) And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, (The record of their lives made visible) according to their works.

   
   13And the sea (peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues) gave up the dead (those who are spiritually) which were in it; and death and hell (The religious systems of man) delivered up the dead (spiritually dead) which were in them; and they were judged every man according to their works.

   
   14And death and hell (The religious systems of man) were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (Eternal Separation from God)

   
   15And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
