Presents The New Testament Church of God Mission Statement A Little Bit about us
The group prays for each other, for other assemblies, for families, relatives, friends and neighbors: we pray for our president and our country. We pray also for the lost and those who know not Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We minister to one another through prayer, prophetic words, the gifts of the Spirit, and through material aid as the Lord leads. We often have a meal together (Love Feast) and celebrate the Lord’s Supper and Feet Washing, in obedience as He commands it. There is no membership list. Those who belong to the Lord are all members one of another. All seek to follow the instructions of the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 14:26 about how we should meet…..”When you come together everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue (language) or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church. We believe that God’s provision for church leadership is through self supporting elders trained right in the local church as servant leaders. We love one another, are fully accountable to one another, help one another, and are willing to pour out our lives for each other. The Church of God is a living organism that is made up of living stones (people) and not a building an organization, a group, sect, movement or institution or school. We are the people of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross to pay for our sins. When we grow too large for the space we have, our plan is to start another assembly in another house or chapel at another location. The Church of God was born from above, it was “born pregnant”. It was born with a vision to give birth to another assembly. We expect that every assembly\church birthed out of this one will also be “born pregnant!” In Revelation 12th chapter and verse one and two, the bible says; and there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman (The New Testament Church) clothed with the sun, (The Gospel) and the moon (The Law) under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars (The Twelve Apostles): And she being with child (Converts) cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. Isaiah the Prophet, when he saw the church said, in the 66th chapter and verses seven and eight, “ Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child (Her converts). Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion (The New Testament Church), travailed, she brought forth her children. The Church of God, is God's new creation, it is from above and not of this world. The Bible says in Revelation 21:1-4; 1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John,[a] saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. We see from this passage of scriptures that this is God's dwelling or tabernacle on earth. This is the wife of Jesus Christ. We have a deep desire to see the Bride of Christ grow in purity and effectiveness. We make no claims to perfection, that is “to know everything”, but we are learning, and sharing as we learn; we are daily seeking God for more of his divine revelation regarding the kingdom of God. We need your prayers and your kind input as we follow the leading of our Lord Jesus Christ. We seek to relate to the whole body of Christ, and not only those who attend our fellowship. Since we are all members of one another, we encourage all who come to this gathering\fellowship to come in the spirit and love of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is our Chief Shepherd and we are submitted to spiritual authority wherever it crosses our path. Therefore, we strive to promote faith in God, unity of the Spirit among believers, love and understanding among all people. We pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart (2 Tim. 2:22). We seek to walk worthy of the calling with which we were called, with all lowliness and humility, and with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Eph. 4:1-3). Saturation church planting is a vision to form churches in the homes of our communities everywhere for the purpose of fulfilling the Great commission through evangelism, discipleship, and local mission. The house church is an effective tool to evangelize and disciple the city and a vehicle to reach out to all nations and nationalities. We invite you to come and fellowship and share in the blessings of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God bless you
