The Last Trumpet
The Last Trumpet 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 5;1-11
The Destruction of the Earth and Heavens 1 Peter 3:1-14.
The Resurrection
There will be one universal Resurrection
The Order of the Resurrection
See. 1 Corinthian 15:12-26, 51-58
See. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 5:1-11
John, the Revelator writes this concerning Jesus Christ's
appearing in the heavens...
"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which
pierced him: and all the kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him." (Rev.
1:7)
Every eye shall see Him! This scripture verifies that all humanity will be
raised at one time, not in seperate raptures as some teach. Christ gave to His
servant John an abundance of scriptures concerning this great and notable event.
John writes...
"And I saw a great white throne and him that sat on it. And I saw the dead,
small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book
was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those
things that were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea
gave up its dead which were in it. And they were judged every man according to
their works....And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast
into the lake of fire."
(Rev. 20:11-15)
ALL of the dead are seen here coming forth TOGETHER from the land and the sea,
and then IMMEDIATELY following is the judgment. The separation of the RIGHTEOUS
and the WICKED will take place SIMULTANEOUSLY.
The scripture states..."And whosoever was not found written in the book of life
was cast into the lake of fire."
In that day of final retribution, some were found in the book of life and
others were not. If ALL the dead were not raised together, this could not be
true.
The Righteous and the Wicked raised together
These scriptures and many others clearly indicate that ALL
the dead come forth from the land and sea simultaneously. The judgment and the
separation of the righteous and the wicked will be accomplished as ALL meet
before the throne of God.
Some in the Christian community have lifted many scriptures from their original
context and devised more than one general judgment. The scriptures speak of only
ONE bodily resurrection.
Hear the Apostle Paul's confirmation in his letter to the Corinthians. He
writes...
"Behold, I show you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be
changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be
changed."
How many trumpets will there be? All the scriptures concerning the resurrection
of the dead and the return of Christ speak of the "LAST TRUMPET."
Can there be one, two or three more to follow the LAST TRUMPET? Not according to
the word of God! How could another trumpet sound after the LAST one to call
forth the wicked a thousand years after the "last trump" had already sounded?
ALL the living shall be changed at the "last trumpet."
Jesus Himself spoke of this time also...
"Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming, in which ALL that are in the graves
shall hear his voice. And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the
resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of
damnation."
(John 5:28-29)
Jesus does not present TWO resurrections here!
This is a bodily Resurrection
The whole foundation of the Christian faith stands upon the
fact that Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead. This gives assurance to
every true believer, that because He was resurrected, we shall be also. The
future resurrection of the dead is assured by the Apostle Paul's defense given
in the fifteenth chapter of First Corinthians.
He affirms this truth...
"If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that
slept. For since by man (Adam) came death, by man (Christ Jesus) came the
resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be
made alive." (1 Cor. 15:2-22)
He concludes..."If the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised. And if Christ
be not raised, your faith is in vain; ye are yet in your sins."
There is abundant proof of Christ's resurrection in the inspired Word of God.
Matthew records that..."The angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came
and rolled the stone from the door and sat upon it. His countenance was like
lightening, and his raiment white as snow. And for fear of him the keepers did
shake, and became as dead men." (Matt. 28:24)
We also have the positive testimony of Christ's resurrection from the angel who
rolled the stone away.
"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye
seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen as he said.
Come, see the place where the Lord lay. and go quickly, and tell his disciples
that he is risen from the dead."
Eternal Life
The Saints are promised Eternal Life
John 5:24-29
Eternal Death
The Sinner is promised eternal death
John 5:24-29
What is the First and Second Resurrection?
John 5:24-29
What is Death?
The First Death
The Second Death
What happens to man at death?
Where does his body go?
All go to the grave
Where does his soul go?
The soul of the righteous goes to Paradise
The soul of the sinner goes to hell
The Grave
The Grave is not the end of death
The Grave is the door to the after life
The Body and the grave
Hades
What is Hades?
The waiting place or locality for souls
Where is Hades?
The Lower part of the earth
Paradise
What is Paradise?
A Place of blessedness, and intermediate place and rest for souls until
the final resurrection.
It is called Abrahams Bosom
The souls in Hades\Paradise are not sleeping.
Where is Paradise?
A place in the upper part of Hades which is in the lower part of the
earth.
Abrahams Bosom
Lazarus and the Rich Man Luke 16:19-31
The Thief on the cross Luke 23:43
Jesus Death Matthew 12:40
Jesus Resurrection Acts 2:22-37
Heaven
What is Heaven?
Gods dwelling place
It is called our Fathers House
It has many mansions (dwellings).
Where is Heaven?
Where God is.
Heaven is our final home
Heaven is not paradise
When someone dies, his soul does not go immediately to heaven
At the final resurrection of the righteous, we will all go to heaven at
the same time.
Hell (The Place of Torment)
The Rich Mans Testimony Luke 16:19-31
The is not an parable
The Souls in Hades\Hell are not sleeping
They are very conscious, with all six sense working.
The Great Gulf
What is the great gulf?
A distinct separation of the righteous and the unrighteous
The Sinner can see the saints, but saints cant see the sinners
The Appointment
"God hath appointed a day, in which he will judge the
world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained: whereof he hath given
assurance to all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
The Word of God is filled with exhortations and
warnings about that great future day of retribution known only to God. The
judgment scene will be a scene like no other!
ALL the saints will be gathered there along with the wicked and unbelieving
God's holy angels along with the devil and his host of evil spirits will all be
assembled on that great and notable day!
ALL will stand together before the, "King of Kings and Lord of Lord's" in that
great tribunal and hear Him speak one of two judgments.
"Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter in to the joy of the Father"
OR "Depart from me into everlasting darkness, I never knew you."
"For it is written, As I live saith the Lord, every
knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us
shall give an account of himself to God." (Romans 14:11-12)
"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all
the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: and
before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from
another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: and he shall set his
sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto
them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom
prepared for you from the foundation of the world. Then shall he say also unto
them on his left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire,
prepared for the devil and his angels...And these shall go away into everlasting
punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."
(Matt. 25:31-46)
"Behold I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to
give every man according as his work shall be. He that is unjust, let him be
unjust still: and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is
holy, let him be holy still." (Rev. 22:11-12)
"When the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven
with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not
God, and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished
with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and the glory of his
power; when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in
all them that believe....in that day." (2 Thess. 1:7-10)
These things are written they we
may believe
Surely these scriptural truths should be graphic enough
to convince anyone who would hear the voice of the Spirit of God through them.
God is not willing that one should perish, but that all should come to
repentance and faith in His Son. "Whosoever will" may escape the wrath of God
and be counted among those who will enter into His presence on that appointed
day.
It is a matter of choice. "Choose ye" this day whom ye will serve...God or
Satan. This choice must be made immediately! For we are not promised tomorrow.
TODAY... if ye hear His voice harden not your heart.
TODAY...is the day of salvation.
This is God's will for our lives. He has created us to spend eternity with Him
Why A Judgment?
* To impress upon humanity the perfect righteousness of
God, for He has said, "The soul that sinneth shall die."
* To convince the ungodly of the justice of God and their final doom IF they do
not receive His gift of salvation through His Son's sacrificial death and His
resurrection.
* God has already pronounced His judgement upon those who reject His offer of
parden and eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ.
"Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the
Lord."
This is THAT DAY when the perfect righteousness of God will be manifested.
A promised "Day in court" and a final recompense of reward, that is written in
the Word of God is meant to bring an awakening to all sinners in this life.
This is surely a "prompting" to consider God's offer of mercy and grace while on
this probationary lifetime.
Many times our human court systems get perverted and often times the wrong
triumphs and the right is defeated. In our earthly courts, jurors may be
influenced by shrewd lawyers. Favor is often shown to the influential and
wealthy, but that final day of judgment, there will be an "Impartial" Judge!
Kings and Queens, people of influence, wealth, stature and popularity will all
stand side by side with the derelict and the beggar. These earthly attributes
will be of NO value in that Day!
This judgment will be administered by an impartial Judge! This scripture says it
all..."For God shall bring every work into judgment with every secret thing,
whether it be good or whether it be evil."
(Eccl. 12:14)
All the forgoing scriptures constitute a demand for a
FINAL DIVINE RECKONING before the only true and righteous Judge of the earth.
His Name is the Lord God Almighty
Song: Lost
Forever
Where is your prospect sinner? What are you going to do?
Hope is a blessed sure anchor, Offered so freely to you;
If it is fixed in the Savior, On that bright shore you will land;
But if in sin you still linger, Sad your end.
Where is your refuge sinner? Look where your pathway will end,
Repent, or you'll perish forever, Awful destruction's at hand;
Heaven or Hell you are choosing, Fixing and sealing your fate. God and His mercy
refusing, Lost! too late!
What can you plead, poor sinner In that great judgement day?
Heaven now offers you favor, Oh do not cast it away;
Slighted, the warnings repeated, Leave you in Satan's control; And with all
Heaven rejected, Lost your soul!
Where will you go, poor sinner? How will your soul escape?
Think of thy lot, when forever Cast in the dark burning lake!
If then your lost and forgotten, Writhing in flames of despair. You will
remember you've chosen to be there!
Lost Forever! Lost Forever!
Oh! How Sad!

Gods Open Door
"Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have
entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that
love him."
(I Cor. 15:19)
"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life
is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of
God hath not life."
(2 John 5:11-12)
"Blessed be the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to
his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection
of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incoruptible, and undefiled,
and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you."
(1 Peter 1:3-4)
"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we
have a building of God, and house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."
(2 Cor. 5:1)
Attaining
Eternal Life
The question was ask of our Lord when He walked among
men..."Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?"
"Biblical Christianity" has been designed to bring forth a detailed
understanding of how to attain that eternal life. As you have read and studied
these pages, I trust that you have sensed the earnest intent and desire of the
author's heart in sharing...
The Way...The Truth...and...The Life.
In My Father's house are many mansions...
if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to
prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come
again and receive you unto myself; that where I am there ye may be also."
(John14:2-3)
This is that "Blessed hope" that every true believer
has fought the fight of faith for throughout their probationary journey on
earth. As the Apostle Paul penned, "If in this life ONLY we have hope in Christ,
we are of all men most miserable."
(1 Cor. 15:19)
