The Fourth Vial

The third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of water and they became blood.  The rivers and fountains of water symbolize the experiences the people had with God.  When people who have an experience with God reject the Bible truth, when the judgment is poured out, they too become guilty of their own blood and also the blood of Christ, for the life of a man is in his blood.
